Islam: “The Religion of Peace”
Some folks didn’t get the memo.

Michelle Malkin has more photos to prove it.
So why all the radical indignation? In case you haven’t read the news:
Tens of thousands of angry Muslims marched through Palestinian cities, burning the Danish flag and calling for vengeance Friday against European countries where caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad were published.”
Remember, we’re talking about cartoons.
Quick question: Where were these people when the Twin Towers collapsed after terrorists attacked us in the name of Islam? (Or are bin Laden and al Qaeda organizing and promoting their cause under another religion? Do tell.)
“Whoever defames our prophet should be executed,” said Ismail Hassan, 37, a tailor who marched through the pouring rain along with hundreds of others in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
“Bin Laden our beloved, Denmark must be blown up,” protesters in Ramallah chanted.
Alrighty then. Thanks for the clarification.
But, sadly, not everyone sees it clearly, including some within our government:
In Washington, the State Department criticized the drawings, calling them “offensive to the beliefs of Muslims.”
While recognizing the importance of freedom of the press and expression, State Department press officer Janelle Hironimus said these rights must be coupled with press responsibility.
“Inciting religious or ethnic hatred in this manner is not acceptable,” Hironimus said. “We call for tolerance and respect for all communities and for their religious beliefs and practices.”
Of course, they’re just playing politics. It’s political correctness practiced on the global stage.
Although it’s not like we’re going to score any big points with Muslims. They already hate us. And this is a criticial time when western nations should stand united.
Leading the charge with a “Muhammad blogburst,” Michelle Malkin is all over this story. Actually, it’s really far more than just a “story” — it’s another example of the dramatic struggle between cultures and religion, east vs. west.
Here’s the rub: Muslims shouldn’t move to western nations and expect (let alone demand) that they cater to their culture. That’s not how it works, or should work. Certainly doesn’t work the opposite way. Just try it.

As a fan of history, I have noticed that there is a lot of hypocritical bullshit being tossed around by the holier than thou christian community.
There has been as much misery, death and grief generated by christianity in the past as well as the present in comparison to Islam.
The iquisition, salem witch trials, the klan, must I go on. Islam, Arabs and Muslims do not have a majority on terrorism. There are quite a few CHRISTIAN terror groups you know. November 17 (greece), ira and the ulster defense force, the lords resistance army (kenya), the karen liberation front and many others.
The message that I get, from white, european decendent people, is that terrorism isn’t a problem until it affects them.
Oh for the dunmb motherfucker with that Star Trek joke, there was an Arab, oops, for you rednecks, A-Rab in the Star Trek pantheon. His name was Juilan Bashir of Deep Space 9
I hope those A-rabs get smart and cut the west off from oil entirely. I would love to see amerika going back to the horse. We wouldn’t miss you money. Shit there are enough zipper heads and habibs in India and China to keep the billons flowing in to our coffers

“The iquisition, salem witch trials, the klan, must I go on.”
Yes, please do. I hope you streeeeaaatch so much you snap in half.
“The message that I get, from white, european decendent people, is that terrorism isn’t a problem until it affects them.”
So lemme get this straight, you oppose America being the world police, but you think we should send armies all over the globe to eliminate terrorists who don’t pose a threat to our nation? Are you crosseyed by any chance?
“Oh for the dunmb motherfucker with that Star Trek joke, there was an Arab, oops, for you rednecks, A-Rab in the Star Trek pantheon. His name was Juilan Bashir of Deep Space 9″
Oh of course you’re not crosseyed. Judging from your deep insiteful knowledge on relevent history, I’d guess you’re a buff, lithe, grizzled ladies man. ‘Scuse me.
“I hope those A-rabs get smart and cut the west off from oil entirely. I would love to see amerika going back to the horse. We wouldn’t miss you money.”
1. That wouldn’t be smart.
2. We have internal oil sources.
3. We’re developing alternate energy solutions, to reduce oil dependency.
4. Yes, you would miss the money.
5. Even on horses, our military would kick any countries ass.
Eat it.

You guys will find this weird but the protests and the boycotts I have NO problem with. This is what we do when we have something that offends us (remember the Boycott of French products when France was working against us in the Security council?) and a boycott and protests are perfectly respectable responses to something like the cartoon
Having said that, the signs are not acceptable
The idea’s good but something got mucked up.
February 3rd, 2006 at 3:40 pm
The protests and boycotts are fine, but if you’d do the research and read the articles you’d find that that’s not all that’s being done.

An editorial cartoon published in a Danish newspaper in September drew vicious protests from Muslims worldwide.
The cartoon depicted a caricacture of Islam’s founder, Muhammed, wearing a turban shaped like a bomb. European governments condemned the editorial cartoon.
However, the people who are protesting the cartoon should at least look at what their own newspapers print.
The Anti-Defamation League regularly prints editorial cartoons, published in Islamic countries, that defame Jews. The following image speaks for itself.
The ADL even has an entiure page containing anti-Jewish editorial cartoons from one newspaper, Al Watan.
It seems these critics should take the plank out of their eye before removing the speck in their neighbor’s eye, as one Jew had suggested.

[...] Now we have the PLO’s terrorist organizationâ€â€Hamasâ€â€as the new leader of the non-existent-but-let’s-pretend-anyway land of Palestine. We are pretending that their own brethrenâ€â€the Arabs, who didn’t even want themâ€â€aren’t above using them to do what they couldn’t: wipe out Israel. We are pretending that the logic, reason, and common decency Israel has shown to them will be returned. I’d like to know exactly what in the past of the PLOâ€â€or Islam for that matterâ€â€gives any indication whatsoever that they are even capable of logic, reason, and common decency?
