Senator Calls on Bush to Take Down Attack Ad
Drudge is reporting that Sen. Inouye wants Bush to take the RNC attack ad that features clips of Dean, Boxer and Kerry.
“As a Veteran of World War II, I know what it’s like to fight a war and put your life on the line every day. I also know what it takes to win a war, and I know that politics and an attack machine like the President’s plays no part in it.”
Sen. Inouye, You’re right that it plays no part in winning the war but it matters in defining the opposition party. And that’s you right now. Your party is basing their policy on the hopes that we fail in Iraq.
You think that because you served in the military that your party is immune to criticism. The criticism is intended to put pressure on the Democratic Party’s attempt to be the Pacifist Party in a time of war. When a political party shows that they aren’t serious about spreading freedom to the extent that the Democrats have, then it’s time to point that out.
“The Republican Party’s latest ad is a shameful and disgusting attempt to distract the American people from the problems in Iraq. It may improve the President’s political fortunes, but the American people and our troops will pay the price. I hope that President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really need is leadership, and that he will direct his Party to take down this ad immediately.”
Sen. Inouye, the “The Republican Party’s latest ad” isn’t what’s shameful. It’s the Democrats actions that are shameful. Their actions and policies are undercutting our war efforts.
Further, it’s shameful that Sen. Inouye says “I hope that President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really need is leadership…” The Democratic Party is the opposite of positive leadership. Sen. Inouye is bent out of shape when the Republicans get political but is silent when Democrats say that we can’t win in Iraq and that our troops are terrorizing women and children.
The bottom line is that this is proof that this ad is doing alot of damage.

Over on Amy Proctor’s blog, amyproctor.squarespace.com, there’s a cartoon that ought to put things in perspective for the highly partison, Watergate committed Senator nicknamed, Sen. Ain’t No Way, by a Nixon insider.
It is simple for the Democrats, stop acting like Benedict Arnolds and your Patriotism and judgement won’t be questioned further.

For the Record: I haven’t questioned anyone’s patriotism. I have questioned people’s judgement, though.
