Yeah, I'm amazed the donkeys aren't stepping up to the plate on this one, what with all the evil big corps hiring illegals, paying them next to nothing (and getting richer as they do), and generally making life miserable for all them po' folk. An' GW thinks it's great!

Problem is, the illegals are pulling down the wages of everyone, and the shining examples of integrity and honesty we have in the Senate are not only pushing to effectively keep the status quo, but inhance it at the cost of more legal citizens and legally carded aliens.

Those here legally are great, for the most part. They enhance our society, for the most part. The illegals have no dog in the fight, so to speak, and would just as soon see a Mexican flag over Sacramento or Seattle or St. Louis as over the capitol in Mexico City. It just don't work that way.

The immigration reform compromise that passed the Senate and was championed by President Bush is a good start, and that's two GOP controlled bodies that passed it.

"
The Bush administration in its first four years was responsible for 318 fines against employers who hired illegal workers, an average of fewer than 80 each year. That's down from 5,587 fines against illegal employers during the eight years of the Clinton administration, according to the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus, an average of 698 each year. And the problem is getting worse; in 2004 only three employers received fines for illegal hiring."

I don't want to hear any Dems running their mouths criticizing anyone on immigration. These crazy Dems think anyone can come on in here whenever they want and do whatever they want.
