RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman is accelerating the pace of his minority outreach as the elections near.

“The Caucus of African American Nevadans is an incredibly important group of leaders for the African American community and all of Nevada,” said Chairman Ken Mehlman. “This opportunity to address important social and economic issues with leaders from the African American community is helpful in pursuing our shared goal of closing wealth gaps and providing unfettered access to the American dream.” The CAAN “Conversations With The Community” is the fourth African American outreach event Chairman Mehlman has participated in during Black History Month, and the fifth event this year.

As I’ve said before, people are noticing. They’re also responding to Mehlman’s outreach. The Washington pundit crowd have said that they’d be surprised if minorities voted in bigger numbers for Republicans this year than 2004. Based on what I’m seeing and reporting, I’d be surprised if minorities don’t vote in greater numbers for Republican candidates than in 2004.

You won’t hear that from the Agenda Media, of course. That’s why it’s vital to read the Right Blogosphere if you’re interested in the truth about this issue. Please don’t mistake this as arrogance on my part. I’m simply saying that this blog is one of the few blogs that covers this aspect of the campaign.
