Although I am extremely upset with the Republican Party and the President, the mere thought of her becoming the Speaker of the House and third in line for the Presidency scares me too much to vote for a Democrat. The only good that could come out of this is that with her as the Speaker, nothing would get done and it would only improve the chances of the Republicans getting elected in 2008. Rather than the Democrats taking the opportunity to do anything positive for the country, the House would be bogged down in all kinds of investigations, primarily impeachment investigations and possibly impeachment itself. Rather than moving ahead, they would use the opportunity to seek revenge for what happened to Clinton. Unfortunately, the Republicans are out of touch with America and appear not to care, and the Democrats are like immature children and have no clue or backbone.

Reality is (at least in most blue states) that the RINOs run unopposed, or by someone else that isnâ€™t worth ten cents for the difference.

Reality is that the Republican base failed to guive support for alternatives to RINOs during the primary election campaign. Is it any wonder the Republican base is being ignored? Until the base becomes a powerful force in the primary elections, they will continue to be ignored.

In theory, GlenF is correct: a vote in the primaries is where to get the RINOs out. Problem with that is it’s just like donkey/lib/moonbat “thinking”, it’s just theory and not reality.

Reality is (at least in most blue states) that the RINOs run unopposed, or by someone else that isn’t worth ten cents for the difference.

Yes, we’ll vote Republican in November, but we’ll be holding our noses and trying not to puke.

Ronnie, where are ya when we need ya, boy? You didn’t go quietly into that long night, but you went, and that’s what counts now.

It’s difficult to stay interested in politics when your guys are such jerks. This Representative Doolittle (R) near here has the most obnoxious attitude about how his wife gets a 15% commission on campaign contributions made to him. His excuse is something along the lines of his wife has to work somewhere, why not there. The issue, of course, is this is as if 15% of contributions went directly to his own personal bank account.

Oh that’s right we shouldn’t say anything because we Republicans need to stick together, lose lips, and all that. Gov. Arnold was right - Congress had no business taking spring break without finishing up the immigration and border stuff. I can’t believe they sit on their butts watching this nation be overrun. And they still expect us to bother voting.

The bogus part about the impeachment talk is most of the so-called offenses occured in President Bush’s first term, they were all brought up in the election, yet Kerry lost anyway.

The place you can possibly make a difference is in the primaries. If you want to send a message to your Republican Congressman/Senator, vote for somebody else in the primary. If enough of us conservatives can do that we can get these RINOs out.

I will vote, if only to keep the Dems off Bush’s back.
The victory in November should not be taken for granted. The Senators better wakeup, because on the path they are headed in, it won’t make a difference who is in charge. Congress needs new Republican blood. Either that, or the veterans better clean the wax out of their ears.

Forget it. Six years of outrageous spending without one veto. Republican house majority and President. Unwarranted internal spying. Constant response, “If I have to do it properly, I won’t do it. I’ll force an issue of doing it or not instead of doing it legally or illegally”.
Always a game of ‘chicken’.
“But the Dems will be worse”. I wholly agree, but a “lesser of two evils” platform is not a turnout machine, its a turn-off machine.
The Republicans in office have gone native, they’re no damn good. It’s a bad hand and it’s time to fold.
Time to start searching for a new freshman class, like the class of ‘94, for ‘08.

Agree but… what would it take for even you to say enough, I am staying home. How far will we let RINOs get away from the base before we say no more. A ton of us have stopped sending money. Even more of us have called and sent e-mails. Yet, things like the amnesty abomination and the gas price posturing keep on coming out of our party. At what point do we say “our party has left us behind”
I for one will no longer contribute to the party. My donations go directly to conservative republicans. Specially if he is running against an incumbent RINO.
