		<description>I notice that Wyden (D-OR) isn't even mentioned as a solid seat for the donks.  Probably because the donks have such a stranglehold in this state that the donks losing a seat here would be out of the question.

Yes, I know we supposedly had one recently (Gordon Smith), but he was about as Republican as the soon-to-be-ex Mr. Specter in PA.

Personally, I blame it on U-Cal envy by nearly every institution of higher learning in the state, and the inability of teachers here to break out of NEA worship.</description>
