Democrats Stiffed Counties On Costs of Recall Election
SF Chronicle reports: “With all the wailing over the cost of the November special election, it’s interesting to note that counties still haven’t been reimbursed the $44 million it cost for the last special election — the recall that brought Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to power in the first place.”
“Oddly enough, it was the Democrats — the ones complaining the loudest about the special election price tag — who put the brakes on paying back the counties last time.Stiffing the counties, from the looks of things, was payback for not playing ball with the Democrats
.”
