Veyondtra: It would be easier for you to change your complexion that for Democrats to change their's. For example, are Democrat-controlled public schools any better than they were for blacks during the 1850s, or during segregation? And instead of accepting what your teachers told you, ask yourself what would prompt ex-klansmen to suddenly love blacks, and Republicans to suddenly hate them? Your logic defies human nature.

By the way just because a person calls himself a Republican has no bearing on whether or not he has Confederate sympathies. And I know plenty of republicans who wear, as well as wave the Confederate flag.

In reference to my comment of 1-3-07, perhaps I should have stated why that great political migration took place. It was because LBJ, A Democrat, forced the Kennedy agenda of Civil Rights through congress, in spite of the Democratic leadership of that time threatening that "You will lose us forever". I might also add that in more recent times a promise was made to elect more men of that ilk, men who were like minded but were not known for thier ties to the severest of right wing extremests.

As for Veyondtra's Confederate Flag question... I know of no Republicans who fly that flag and, more importantly, I know of no one who ever died from the waving of a flag. Democrats have the Confederate Flag just as Bloods own red bandanas - but I've never lost sleep over a handkerchief.

There's more to the Democrat's abuse of blacks than a tired flag. Personally, I like the flag because it reminds me of who Democrats really are...

Hi JJ:

Please indulge me with your understanding of human nature...

Since you say that the Democrats are ideologically different than the way they were back then, WHEN, EXACTLY, did members of the KKK and the advocates of Jim Crow SUDDENLY decide to embrace people they once considered livestock?

Please explain the moment of their transformation and how they suddenly changed...

I have the same question about Republicans... since Republicans created the Republican Party for the exclusive reason to end slavery, when, EXACTLY, did Republicans decide to change their ideology and decide that "keeping the black man down" was the Republican thing to do?

One last question... Since Democrats have controlled public schools since Brown v. Board of Education passed, why is it that millions of blacks are still suffering from failed education under their exclusive control?

How many more decades will you buy their fake ideology?

I look forward to hearing from you - Thanks for writing.

In response to the above comment:

The purpose of this article was not to illustrate "greatest political party migration in the history of this nation", it was to provide evidence that democrats were responsible for the lynching of black and white Republicans during the 19th and 20th centuries, which is clearly proven. A quite effective article indeed. So save us all your typical liberal derailing from the subject. Thank you.

Hello,
I would just like to say that you make a good historical point, but it is also quite obvious that you missed the greatest political party migration in the history of this nation, or any other for that matter. have you ever asked yourself why republicans wave the confederate flag? Or do you even find that remarkable. When you can answer this question for me in the context of your historical review, then perhaps you will understand that some people change for better, others for worse, but history never does.

Read the communist Goals read in Congress in 1963. See goals 15,20,17 etc. Remember Hiss,Wallace, etc. It started well before 1963. Review TODAYS goals/actions of the ACLU,NEA,DNC, NYT, etc. They have come a long way, but we still only say liberals and not socialists, communists, villagers, etc.
