No matter what form of government you have, each person has the responsibility to be able to defend themselves and the public peace. Outlawing private ownership of guns was a huge mistake for Australia, just as its curtailment has been a huge mistake here. But the real stupidity is on the part of Australian civilians and Scandinavian civilians. When the police admit that they no longer control a part of town, and people from that part of town rape your women, you form a posse and go get them. You admit that you've been attacked, and you break your opponent's ability to attack you. How tough is that to understand? The police won't do it, the courts won't do it, but you have a right to an orderly existence, and if you don't secure it, you deserve the ensuing destruction. Hmmmph.
