Superdome Prayers: Where’s The ACLU?
SactoDan is wondering.
Clasping hands together gives people of faith hope for the future, and there’s nothing better than hope in a time of despair.
“In a laudable act of compassion, hurricane Katrina victims are living temporarily in the Houston Astrodome, a facility which is owned by Harris County Texas.
The ACLU is known for filing lawsuits challenging religious expression in public facilities claiming they violate the separation of Church and State.”
In this time of national crisis, when Christian organizations are demonstrating their vital role in our society, in terms of both charitable funding and hands-on assistance for those who need it most, perhaps the ACLU doesn’t want to draw attention to themselves. Afterall, filing lawsuits doesn’t feed the poor.
