Chris, I wrote off Newt, who by the way RESIGNED AS SPEAKER, for his scandal. Libs exhalt and promote their perverts. That's a fundamental difference.

Also, you judge Newt's action, let alone his motives. "(Although I’m sure Newt got a couple blow jobs in the Majority Leader’s office, she was his aide after all.)" This is the sort of Judgmentalism Jesus warned against.

By the way, the subject wasn't 16 at the time, he was an 18 year old! That's 2 years older than legal age in DC.

This has nothing to do with child molstation.

I know you don't care to "recall the sordid details", but Gingrich was NOT divorced. see here

Also, I didn't say that the things you mentioned were all "equal". (Although I'm sure Newt got a couple blow jobs in the Majority Leader's office, she was his aide after all.) My point was that comparing them to attempting child molestation is inapt.

This is the difference, AGAIN, between republicans and democrats: we denounce our wrong-doers, you guys re-elect yours.

Gringrich was divorced and I don't care to recall th sorted details, but I hardly call that "equal to" Bill Clinton getting jobs in the Oval Office from a girl his daughter's age or a Congressman running a male prostitution ring out of his home, and paying ot have sex with the ringleader using government funds. Come on, liberals have the big trophey on immoral politicians.

And none of thse are "morally equivalent" to soliciting a minor. I mean, adultery is bad, but come on....

BillyBob, why do I doubt the sincerity of your allegiance to the Republican Party?

There's no cover up. Foley lied about his activities. It's that simple. The guy is scum, he's gone, but oddly enough, there's still plenty of scum in the Democratic Party because instead of chastizing bad behavior, they defend it. This is a clear difference between the two.

It's funny how Barney Frank is still in office, isn't it? And William Jefferson? And Ted Kennedy?

So why should I continue to support a party leadership that actively covers up such activities? If I wasn't happy with them before, I'm defintely disgusted with them now.
