A Look Into the Future?

I doubt that the Wilsons’ lawsuit makes it that far but imagine Joe Wilson testifying. Picture Cheney’s attorney cross examining him. It might sound something like this:

Cheney’s attorney: Mr. Wilson, you & your wife allege that the Bush administration is seeking to destroy you because you were a critic of the war, correct?

Wilson: Yes.

Attorney: You claim that President Bush lied in the State of the Union when he used the infamous 16 words, correct?

Wilson: Yes. He said that Iraq had bought uranium in Niger.

Cheney’s attorney: Did he? Here’s the sixteen words he used in the State of the Union Address: “The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.” Where in that sentence does President Bush say that Iraq bought uranium from Niger?

Wilson: Everyone knew that that was the inference.

Cheney’s attorney: Oh really? How do you know this? Are you able to read his mind? Are you able to read the American public’s mind to know that that’s what they were thinking?

Wilson: Well, uh…

Attorney: Or is it because you were working on the Democrats’ behalf and you wanted to damage the President with a false allegation?

Wilson: I was only speaking truth to power. This president has abused his power. He thinks that he can ignore the Constitution in wartime.

Attorney: And what truth was it that you were speaking? That the President lied about Iraq buying uranium from Niger? And what sections of the Constitution did he ignore, Mr. Wilson? No further questions.

    Haha,

Judge: Valerie Blame, do you accuse the President of trying to ruin your life?

Blame: Yes, He causes the leaves to fall from all the tress in the Northern Hemisphere in the fall, also. Yes, it is his entire fault. Even, he, causes the hurricanes and earthquakes. It is regardless the CIA called me a whacko and I’d lost my mind when mommy dropped me on my head when I was four-years-old. Regardless, Bush and Cheney were the causes of WWI and WWII. Can someone pass me my meds, now? These two have caused me to breakout in another delusional temper tantrum.
