CaliforniaConservative.org is very proud to announce that Jim Lopez has joined our efforts to spread the word of conservative action, and will be featured as a special contributing blogger to our site.
Mr. Lopez is Chairman of the California Republican National Hispanic Assembly (CARNHA).
With a goal of broadening our readership while attracting the attention of an important audience, we are very interested and eager to share some perspectives from Hispanic Republicans. And we’re looking for more.
As a group, Hispanics represent a vital demographic that should be recognized more widely — especially in California.
As fellow conservatives, we should actively promote our shared values: faith, family, freedom, commerce and security.
“Speaking out” and reaching out to conservative Hispanics living in communities throughout all of California, Jim Lopez is a great man for the role.
Past political activities include: Chairman, Kern County Republican National Hispanic Assembly; Vice Chairman, California Republican National Hispanic Assembly; Vice Chairman of the Bill Simon for Governor, Kern County “Big Tent Committee;†and Kern County Chair for President Bush Hispanic Coalition.
Beyond politics, Mr. Lopez serves as Board member of the North Bay Health Systems Agency; Board member of the Solano County Drug and Alcohol Abuse Council; Past State Vice President of the California State Hispanic Chambers of Commerce; Past Board member of the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
As an American patriot with 23 years of experience in uniform, Mr. Lopez’ military recognition includes: Serving two tours of duty in Vietnam, flew over 2,000 combat hours; Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, 16 Air medals, Cross of Gallantry with crossed palms, Marine Corp and Air Force Presidential Citations, Meritorious Service medal and Combat Crewmember badge.
With a life dedicated to service and civic duty, Mr. Lopez’ professional experience also includes past work as a Parks and Recreation Administrator, and a community businessman.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona and now living in Bakersfield, CA, Mr. Lopez is married with 6 children, and is a proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren.
