The Poizner Saga Continues: It keeps getting worse

Hi Everybody, when you have a dyed in the wool Moderate like Gary Mendoza gets to the Right of a Republican Candidate for office, this has to give you pause…

Remember, this is about the Insurance Commissioner’s race as a Republican Nominee…

Mendoza who admits to being a social Liberal… (No Value Judgement, his words) sent out a fundraising letter that pointed out some DISTRUBING items.

If what I have written in the past was not disturbing enough, check this out…

Remember the $10,000 donation to the Recount in 2000? Remember the $10,000 to the DNC? Maxed out to Gore? You are a Republican, Steve, Right?

According to News 7 in the Bay Area, refused to support President Bush Publically.

News 7 also chronicled how he brought Richard Clarke who was used as a pawn of the Democrat Party to attack Bush personally to campaign for him. This should be no suprise as the Palo Alto Daily News reported that he pubically opposed the war in Iraq.

We all know that this rich .dot.com millionaire publically opposed tax cuts for middle class workers and all Americans.

But the Alameda Almanac (correct the name if I am wrong) pointed out that Poizner REFUSED to sign a no new taxes pledge. Excuse me!? Even Moderates like Gary Mendoza will take that pledge…

Better yet, the Secretary of State’s office reports that Poizner gave $150,000 to an effort to destroy prop 13. As I have posted earlier, Poizner founded a charity whose goal was to lower the bar for regressive parcel taxes…

The Howard Jarvis Taxpayer’s Organization took the major step of sending out a Mailer telling people not to vote for Poizner because of how far out he is on taxation issues.

Steve called for abolishing Marriage in favor of Civil Unions for both Heterosexual and Homosexual Couples. Is this a Republican Value? (Palo Alto Weekly)

And of Course, the San Mateo County News reported that he opposes a Constitutional Ammendment to define Marriage as one man and one woman.

This Republican received a 100% score from Planned Parenthood after filling out its’ questionnaire in 2004. You have got to be kidding me, when a dyed in the wool Moderate like Gary Mendoza can get well to the right of another Republican… WOW!!! (Check out the San Jose’ Mercury News)

The question is folks… who is going to carry the day. The Machine endorsed Kerry-Edwards Republican or the real deal, Dr. Phil Kurzner…
