CA Bush Team Speaks Out on Poizner

Steve Poizner is a fraud, let’s have a real Republican nominee for Insurance Commissioner.

Were you a part of Team Bush in 2000 or 2004?

I was Northern-California Conservative Coalition Chairman for Bush in California 2004.

Did you spend countless hours organizing volunteers, standing in the streets, writing letters to the editor, pushing, pushing because you believed our Nation needed Republican leadership? Did you wear the official Team Bush button?

Steve Poizner did not.

Did you make phone calls, walk precincts, make surrogate speeches to help insure President Bush’s victory?

Steve Poizner did not.

Did you spend many an anxious hour down the stretch? Or feel like you were on an emotional roller coaster when the Media and the trial lawyers tried to change the result in Florida?

Perhaps you went to Florida or know someone who did or supported those that did. Perhaps you felt all your efforts had gone to waste during that anxious month when Al Gore raised money to fund a Constitutional crisis and tried to sue his way into the White House.

Unbelievably, Steve Poizner supported Al Gore and worked against your efforts by helping fund the Gore/Lieberman Recount Committee.

Could you imagine what our world would be like if Al Gore was the one to respond to 9/11?

Steve Poizner gave money to make sure the election of George W. Bush would be overturned.

THE FACTS:

Steve Poizner, candidate for Insurance Commissioner donated $10,000 to Al Gore’s Florida Recount Fund.

Steve Poizner gave $10,000 to the Democrat National Committee that same year.

Steve Poizner refused to endorse President Bush in 2004 and gave $2,000 to John Kerry.

Now, after trying to help Al Gore and the DNC defeat our President and us in 2000 and failing to endorse our President in 2004, Steve Poizner wants your support.

This is a direct affront to all of us who spent the countless hours giving up heart muscle, time with our families and in-kind contributions.

It is a direct affront to the mainstream Republicans who labored to put together the statewide team that began a resurgence in the California grassroots community.

Tell Steve Poizner No!

Now, Republican leaders are turning their back on your efforts on behalf of President Bush by endorsing Steve Poizner.

Do the Republican leaders support a Democrat in Republican clothing simply because he has a billion dollars?

What message do they convey when they turn their backs on two mainstream Republican candidates and ask us to do as well?

What will we tell our hard working volunteers when we don’t challenge Steve Poizner’s attempt to buy the Republican nomination for State Insurance Commissioner?

We must tell Steve Poizner NO!

We must tell them real Republicans don’t fund liberal Democrats who want to defeat us.

We must tell the Republican leaders who are supporting him that they have compromised their principles in the name of money.

We must tell them that Republican leaders don’t support candidates that failed to support President Bush in 2000 or 2004.

Tell Steve Poizner NO and tell the Republican leaders to show leadership by withdrawing their endorsement.
