Prop. 73: Parents Have The Right To Know

Prop. 73 - Protect our DaughtersToday, without a parent’s permission, a minor cannot get their ears pierced. They cannot go on a field trip nor have their teeth cleaned. In fact a nurse at school cannot give a minor an aspirin without permission from their parents. Yet a minor, as young as 12 years old, can enter a clinic and have an intrusive surgery to abort a fetus.

That same child couldn’t sign themselves out of a hospital. They can’t vote. They can’t drive a car or open a credit account, at least not without their parent’s permission. But they can have an abortion.

How as a society do we allow this? This isn’t a matter of “choice”. It is a matter of common sense. A parent has a right to be aware of their child’s actions.

As a parent we have FULL responsibility and accountability for ALL of our child’s actions. If a child destroys something, a parent must compensate for it. If a child is injured, a parent must do what they can to get them healed. A parent must provide shelter and protect their child.

Prop. 73 corrects the only outstanding issue we have with regards to parents rights.

Please read up on Prop. 73 at CaliforniansFor73.com, and educate yourself on all the initiatives. Most importantly vote YES on 73.

Oh and don’t forget to vote Yes on 74, 75, 76 and 77.
