Jim Gilchrist For Congress: Minutemen Founder Is Running For Office (I-CA)

There’s a special election to fill the Congressional seat left open when Rep. Chris Cox (R-CA) accepted the job of SEC Chairman. The election is on October 6. If no candidate gets a majority of the votes, then there’ll be a run-off election with the top vote getter from every party. (via PoliPundit)
The seat is safely Republican. Ho hum so far. But what’s special is that Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minutemen, is running for the seat. He’s running as a member of the American Independence Party, not as a Republican. So he’s almost certain to get past the October 6 election, and make it to the general election run-off.
This presents an unique opportunity to have our voices heard on the issue of illegal immigration. The most prominent Republican running for the seat is State Senator John Campbell, who has voted to give in-state tuition rates at California colleges to illegal immigrants. If Campbell gets elected to Congress, he will further weaken our borders and encourage the illegal invasion of America.
You can do something about this. You can make your voice heard. Click here and donate whatever you can to Gilchrist’s campaign. An opportunity like this does not come around very often. Please give whatever you can. Or the politicians will continue to condone the illegal invasion of America.
You can learn more about Jim, and hear the audio of his candidacy announcement at his web site.
