1. President Bush and the US Senate want illegal aliens to have “special” rights. Not only are they to be given amnesty for violating our laws, not prosecuted for using phony ID and stealing social welfare benefits, now they get what even unions can’t get for their members.

Here’s what columnist Robert Novak wrote on Monday — referring to those special privileges:

“The bill extends the Davis-Bacon Act’s requirement for the payment of ‘prevailing wage’ levels to all temporary guest workers. That puts them ahead of American workers, who have this protection only on federal job sites.”

“Foreign guest farm workers, admitted under the bill, cannot be ‘terminated from employment by any employer . . . except for just cause.’ In contrast, American ag workers can be fired for any reason.”

Imagine, not being able to fire an illegal alien–and giving them more pay than honest Americans!

2. The Mayor of Los Angeles has opened a new office, with tax dollars, just to arrange for more illegal benefits for illegal aliens. Honest seniors wanting affordable housing in Los Angeles will now have to stand in line BEHIND illegal aliens to get affordable housing. He will make sure that the health care of illegal aliens is taken care of, though that might mean more emergency rooms and trauma centers will close due to the economic burden. Mayor Villaraigosa forgot he took an oath to uphold the law, not protect the lawbreakers.

“Angering groups backing a crackdown on illegal immigration, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will revive a city office that helps new arrivals to Los Angeles get municipal services and participate in civic life without regard to their legal status.”

3. The LA Daily News had a story showing how many illegal aliens have Social Security cards. The real question is, if the Federal government knows these folks are using phony ID’s and corrupting our system, why haven’t they told the employers to fire these folks? What other crimes about being committed by the TEN MILLION with phony Social Security cards–that is not a typo. From the Daily News story, this statement from Congressman Elton Gallegly, “Gallegly said that since there are more than 10 million people working with invalid Social Security numbers, the small number of arrests doesn’t seem like a very good record.”

4. In today’s news, a San Diego union contractor, Standard Drywall, has been raided. 135 illegal aliens were found on the payroll, out of 364 employees audited.

Question: why aren’t the honest union members screaming at their leadership for allowing illegal aliens to join their union, and to drive down wages? Of course, counterfeit Social Security cards and counterfeit legal residence cards were found in the raid. How many laws does an illegal alien have to break before we deport them, or jail them
