Howard Stern: Se Habla Espanol?
The SacBee reports: Spanish radio gets racier
Detailed discussions of sex acts, profane outbursts and crude jokes have become commonplace on some Spanish-language talk shows.
“It’s offensive to have something like that in the store,” says Miguel Barrios, manager of La Mexicana Bakery in south Sacramento. “How would you like to go to Macy’s and listen to Howard Stern?”More Latinos are making a connection between the crackdown on Stern’s brand of raunchy broadcasts and the crude banter of Spanish-language shock jocks. It’s a connection they want the Federal Communications Commission to make.
Hopefully the FCC will recognize that bad taste comes in all languages.
