Gov. Schwarzenegger To Host Dinner Honoring Vicente Fox

Schwarzenegger: Make The Point!Have you been invited?

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is holding an official State dinner for Mexico’s President Vicente Fox next Thursday. Fox will also address a joint session of the California Legislature that day.

This is from the San Diego Union, 5/19/06:

“Fox is scheduled to speak to a joint session of the state Legislature on Thursday in Sacramento, before attending a reception and dinner hosted by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Mexican president will then fly to Los Angeles on May 26 for a private meeting with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa before returning to Mexico.

Schwarzenegger’s office said his meeting with Fox would focus on shared economic goals such as increasing tourism and trade. California is Mexico’s second-largest trading partner after Texas, with California exports to Mexico totaling $18 billion last year.”

In the article, Fox gave this advice to the United States government and people:

“Fox spoke directly, and sternly, to the American public.

“To those in front I am referring to the United States I want to tell you to be very respectful of Mexico, to be very respectful of the dignity of Mexicans, to not see them as lesser, and to not discriminate against nor violate the human rights of our dear countrymen in the United States,” he said.

“Fox has consistently pushed for a guest worker program, and has urged the United States to consider amnesty for most of the estimated 11 million to 12 million immigrants living illegally in the country.”

In other words he is telling us, what our national policies should be.

Yet according to the Washington Times, May 16, 2006, if an American were to say the exact same thing about changing Mexican national policy, they would land in jail. Yet, this same man is going to speak to our legislators. From the Washington Times:

“We doubt few Americans would ever consider crossing the border into Mexico under the cover of darkness, but if they did, Mexican officials would turn to Chapter 3, Article 33 of the 1917 Mexico Constitution, which reads: Mexico “shall have the exclusive power to compel any foreigner whose remaining he may deem inexpedient to abandon the national territory immediately and without the necessity of previous legal action. Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.”

Vicente Fox leads a government that:

    1. Promotes Open Borders to the United States, but jails illegal aliens when found in his own nation.
    2. Passes out comic books to explain to his people how to illegally enter our nation.
    3. Is threatening to sue our federal government if we use the National Guard to protect ourselves from his actions.
    4. Demands we give amnesty to his citizens that illegally enter our nation
    5. Expresses outrage that increased border security means illegal aliens have to take “riskier” and more deadly routes into the United States

With an overwhelming number of Californians angry at the Mexican government and wanting our laws strictly enforced, it will be interesting to see how many elected officials are willing to seen with Fox. Will they want their pictures taken with him, when they know the photo’s will surely appear on their opponents brochures in this or the next election? Remember, earlier this week the GOP in Pennsylvania defeated at least 14 incumbent GOP legislators in a primary on a couple of issues. Does anyone believe that a GOP primary won’t see photo’s, quotes of support for Fox, in opponents literature or TV ads?

I am also hearing on the grapevine since the story broke this morning, that the Fox visit to Sacramento is causing folks to consider visiting the Capitol and let Fox know about the First Amendment.

Governor Schwarzenegger can use this opportunity to speak to President Fox about not interfering in our internal politics and policies, that he needs to use his military to keep his citizens from illegally fleeing into our nation. The Governor can ask President Fox to repay Californians the $9 billion per year for the cost of illegal aliens due to Mexico’s failed government. The governor can stand up to Fox and become a hero to most Californians, and win re-election in a landslide. The Governors introduction of Fox and his toast to him at the State dinner could be the tipping point of this election. Those that want our laws enforced are single issue voters–no words of, “well, he is better than Westly or Angelides” will sway them. Either be blunt with Fox or those folks will be energized, against you. We have seen what happens when GOP voters get angry, just ask the 14 FORMER legislators in Pennsylvania.

I am sure the Governor and his people understand this. I know he takes his oath of office seriously. He will do the right thing, because we need him re-elected.

If you have thoughts on what the Governor should say to President Fox, please write them on the blog. Do you think your legislator should attend the dinner honoring Fox? Please let us know on the blog.

If we find drivers who have no licenses, we do not reward them by handing out drivers’ licenses; if we catch those with no auto insurance, we do not reward them with free auto insurance; if we catch embezzlers taking money, we do not reward them by offering them additional dollars; if tax evaders are caught, they are not rewarded with amnesty for non-payment of the taxes owed; if we catch intruders in our homes, we do not reward them by asking them to become our permanent guests as members of our household - WHY would anyone want to reward behavior that does not conform to our laws and give invaders citizenship ? ! ! ! Why is there a push to apply our laws unequally ?

We need enforcement; we’ve needed it for decades - when will we start seeing true enforcement and strict crack downs on employers of undocumented workers? Do so few in Washington realize that millions of American dollars are being exported to Mexico daily by “guestworkers”? Amnesty does NOT address the cost to the American taxpayer for education, healthcare, law enforcement and infrastructures to support the millions who have illegally invaded this country. Amnesty does NOT stop nor address third world diseases crossing our borders on human carriers.

ENFORCEMENT AND ATTRITION IS THE BEST ANSWER; mass deportation is impractical, and amnesty sends a VERY wrong message to invaders - that America is soft and welcomes those who consistently and arrogantly show disrespect for our laws or our flag.

California’s governor had better keep a careful eye on Vicente Fox who has already body-snatched the U.S. President.

Enforcement, SI, SI, SI ! ! ! VIVA LA MIGRA ! Amnesty and “guestworkers” - no mas, por favor !
