Baseball Homicide: Some Teens Think Violence Is A Sport
This should fall under the category of “What-The-Hell-Is-Wrong-With-Our-Kids-Today,” but I’ll have to add that one first.
CNN reports: “A 13-year-old pitcher was accused of clubbing a teenage friend to death with a baseball bat, moments after the friend apparently teased him at a concession stand following his baseball team’s first loss of the season.”
A candlelight vigil was held in Palmdale last night as Pony League baseball players and their parents mourn the death of 15-year-old Jeremy Rourke.
Why are so many of today’s teenagers more angry, aggressive and, evidently, so de-sensitized to violence? Hollywood comes to mind.
UPDATE: DailyPundit reports: “Parents of the murdered boy want punishment for his killer.” Let’s hope so.
