Even When You Lose…You Lose

This is what you get when you cozy up to the Kos Kidz and others of their ilk. This just reinforces my stance on politics: the Republicans are bad, but the Democrats are that much worse.

Absolutely! Incumbency reelection rates have been in the high 90 percent-range in the last couple of House elections. Even the congressional elections back in 1994, the Republicans' breakthrough year, a year often claimed to be a strong precedent for this fall's midterms, saw incumbent reelection rates of close to 90 percent. Democrats have to get over that "structural wall" that VandeHei and Babington discuss in their WaPo piece.

Democrat voters think they can take back the House, but all over the country the seats where they think they have a shot are gerrymandered so that the incumbant party should win.
