Sen. Kerry: Blogging at DailyKos
“Reporting for duty…”
It’s good to know your comrades.
CNET reports: “When someone calling himself ‘John Kerry’ posted a diary on the popular liberal community blog DailyKos last week, its members reacted with both suspicion and amazement.”
But before long, the site’s owner, Markos Moulitsas, posted a comment confirming that the diary was legitimate. All told, Kerry’s post received 1,219 comments, many friendly and many from members of the community still angry at the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee for losing the election to George W. Bush.
Just a year ago, a DailyKos posting from someone like John Kerry would have been all but unheard of, and blogging of any kind by members of Congress was almost nonexistent. But now that dynamic is starting to change, and slowly, members of the House of Representatives and the Senate are beginning to appreciate the value of blogs.
Well, well. Nice to hear. Just don’t start taxing us. (That’s usually how government “appreciates the value” of anything)
But, seriously, it’s good to read that blogs are gaining legitimacy and traction within the political establishment.
“When I reach out to the blog community, it gives me an opportunity to begin a dialogue with an extremely politically sophisticated and active community that I otherwise might not be able to reach,” Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., wrote in an e-mail to CNET News.com. “Another benefit of blogging is that, as opposed to delivering a speech, you get immediate and unlimited feedback, both positive and negative.”
And so we say: all eyes on 2008.
We’ll be here.

REPUBLICAN OPTIMISM AND ALITO’S NOMINATION
Don’t be surprised if the NYTimes pushing an Alito filibuster is a trial balloon, floated in concert with the Democrats, and that happy Republicans have danced their way into a trap.

Does anyone else think that that left wing blogs are becomming the last bastion of democratic support? Especially after the raking through the coals Palosi got in San Fran, showing your face is just too risky when your constituants are ingulfed in seething hatred about..well…a lot.

Does this mean DailyKoz is THE democratic blog where Democratic leaders post. OK. The Kos is pro ACLU, pro open borders, pro Islamic, anti NSA eavesdropping.
Just want to be sure I understand what this implies. Apparently the Democratic Party is becoming an ultraleft wing party. You have the Republicans on one end and way, way, way out there on the other end is the Democrats.

Typing in all caps is the second sign of insanity. Between liberalism and invading mecca.

“…FASCIST IDIOTS. I USE THE TERM ADVISABLY-GO LOOK IT UP IN THE DICTIONARY…”
Right. It’s easy to see you know what you’re screaming about. Conservatives are always fascists/socialist, right? You mean they’re not socialists? Then how could the be fascist? That’s part of the definition, dipwad, and why the donkeys always want to label conservatives as fascists, ’cause it deflects the term from them, the real fascists.
The Saudis are by far the largest financiers of terrorism around the world, but they also know that 1) China won’t brook it and 2) the USA is a faithful (if really dumb sometimes) customer. So what to do?
