“Carnival of Arnold” #1
Come one, come all. We’ve got a big tent.
With California’s Special Election less than a week away, and because there’s so much important news to cover, we are proposing the first-ever “Carnival of Arnold” which shall showcase some of the best entries from around the blogosphere.
What is it?
A “carnival” is a dedicated post that presents a unique collection of excerpts and links to other blogs — bringing attention to some of the week’s most interesting and informative articles on the topic. It is a showcase of weblog posts, submitted by their authors or by casual readers for consideration. There are existing Carnivals for various topics, but none specific to our Governor.
Guidelines for Submission
If you are a blogger, publish your entries as you normally would, but submit the link to your article via email to:
carnival@californiaconservative.org.
The basics:
- The topic is Governor Schwarzenegger, the Special Election (Nov 8), and related political news.
- The article should reflect your point of view or opinion.
- Positive stories are more enjoyable than negative stories or rants. No vulgarity.
- We’ll keep it to one submission per weblog.
Please include the following in the email:
- The title of your entry.
- The URI (address) of your entry.
- The TrackBack URI for your entry, if available.
- A very brief description (excerpt or summary) of your entry.
- Your name or pseudonym as author, and the name of your blog.
All submissions must be received by 5:00PM PST, Saturday November 5, 2008.
The “Carnival of Arnold” will make its debut on Sunday.
Following the election, the Carnival will continue — following the politics and news of Arnold Schwarzenegger. And the Carnival will start traveling. If you’d like to be a host, please drop us a line. We’ll publish a calendar once hosts have been assigned.
UPDATE:
Welcome Instapundit readers! And a HUGE thanks to Glenn Reynolds for linking to us.
As you can see, we’re busy gearing up for a major effort to provide increased coverage for next week’s California election.
We’re trying to make a real push on behalf of Gov. Schwarzenegger’s reform initiatives. With unions having raised unprecedented sums to oppose him, the battle is serious. Much is at stake. Much work to be done.
If you’re a California voter, please click the related link below. Email the post (and/or graphics) to your colleagues and friends. Help us get the word out.
If you’re not voting in California but still care about helping conservatives fighting for reforms in a blue state, please let others know. Your collective efforts will make a difference. Thank you.
And if you’re a blogger, send us your submissions!

Arnold had to get rid of his wife, Maria, to be a real conservative. Its that simple.
He hasn’t been the same since he signed that bill banning .50 calibar firearms.
Notice how Arnold campaigned for Edward Kennedy and Rudy campaigned or endorsed Mario Cuomo but neither returned the favor.
Proves you can’t trust a demon-rat.

I voted for Arnolds slate of initiatives across the board, even though I have issues with his position on global warming and greenhouse gas regulations. He is supporting junk science at the expence of the tax payers. I agree our first goal must be political reform. Let’s get started.

California Is Approaching an Important Election
As many people already know California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been trying to pull California out of its socialist downfall and that is more apparent when you look at the decisions that Californians will be making on 8 Nov 2005….

re Russ’ comment #2: Remember that no slate is perfect and sometimes deals must be made to get what we want. Had the northern colonies insisted on banning slavery in 1776, the southern states never would have signed the Declaration of Independence that resulted in freedom throughout the world. Some battles are better left for tomorrow. KUDOS to all Carnie Bloggers - Viva la Revolucion!
