Are we still sending them money?
AP reports: “Warmly greeted by world leaders in Vietnam, President Bush drew a different reaction Sunday at his upcoming stop in Indonesia, where thousands angrily protested America’s policy in the Middle East and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
Why? Because they have a better plan for dealing with radical Islamic terrorism in the Middle East, or because Indonesia is “the world’s most populous Muslim nation.”?
The White House said it was confident about security precautions for Bush’s visit Monday despite police warnings of an increased threat of attack by al-Qaida-linked groups.
The president was to spend just six hours in Indonesia, most of it at Bogor Palace, a presidential retreat outside the capital of Jakarta and far from the scene of protests Sunday where Bush was denounced as a “war criminal’ and “terrorist.”
But as always, we must consider the source.
These are people who think Osama bin Laden is a hero.

And they hate Israel.

Just the organized (to protest) “religion of peace“…

We need to remember this…

[...] But if Indonesia does turn to the world for “economic relief,” we don’t expect them to ask us. After all, why would they want our dirty money? We’re the bad guys. [...]

[...] Is it fair to politicize this issue? Why not? Altruism is a thankless job. We can only hope that next time there’s a controversial cartoon or some other major offense, the great Muslim nations will remember the generosity of America. Yes. billions of dollars in Tsunami relief.
and supporters of Osama bin Laden out in full force.
hardly thanks.
even worse, i just read an article about muslim higher education in iraq. we’re funding most of that too.
350 institutions apparently.
why don’t they draft they’re own people to fight for their constitution?
and we give iraqis the internet, so terrorists and islamic fundamentalists can show the world, how they despise the west, or how they are blowing our soldiers up?
I am working on Social Security as well as Healthcare reform here, and had some negative reaction from supporters of the illegal population for trying to find solutions for healthcare.
For them, the largest recipients post 5 amnesties of Medi cal in my state, they feel it’s amnesty and universal free health care or bust.
The other drastic thing, is mentioning Social Security Personal Retirement Accounts.
There are a few Republicans who do not favor Social Security benefits for people who have supplied phony tax numbers since they got here.
If they wanted to in a free market, they can go down to etrade or Schwab and open a personal voluntary retirement account.
The whole Democratic proposal for Social Security is based on raising payroll taxes.
Why should we fund illegal people’s personal retirement accounts with some matching funds, when they are not supposed to be in our system in the first place?
It’s bad enough, they get Prucol, and illegal tax id numbers, and are straining our system.
The matching funds aren’t significant enough to them anyways.
This money is to help Americans build their original nest egg of one thousand dollars which will generate compound interest for 40 or 50 years.
Without the initial lump sum, the fund won’t compound like it could if it were “helped” by a federal program.
If illegals want a personal account, they can go to schwabb, nothing’s stopping them.
but like all else, their lobbying money, seems to hold up every law or bill we try to pass in this country.
instead of spending billions of dollars cumalitively in the US lobbying, why don’t their lobbyists go and set them up with funds, instead of trying to get our fed to provide them.
kindly,
titania jones
