UPDATE: 6:19PM PST
Landing is SUCCESSFUL!!!

Watching it live on television, we could see the plane stayed on the runway and didn’t veer off line even in the slightest. [Correction]

Pilot Scott Burke, on his first trip to Los Angeles, was reported to have told Los Angeles Mayor Villarigosa, tongue-in-cheek, that after landing that he was upset that he was 6 inches off the centerline of the runway.*

Hat’s off to the pilot and crew. These are the folks you want when you’re flying, for sure.
