Citgo is a company “owned by PDV America, Inc., an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.”
Now, Venezuela is one of the five founding members of OPEC, the Organizatiaon of the Petroelum Exporting Counties.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is a permanent, intergovernmental Organization, created at the Baghdad Conference on September 10–14, 1960, by Iran , Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela . The five Founding Members were later joined by eight other Members: Qatar (1961); Indonesia (1962); Socialist Peoples Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (1962); United Arab Emirates (1967); Algeria (1969); Nigeria (1971); Ecuador (1973–1992) and Gabon (1975–1994). OPEC had its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, in the first five years of its existence. This was moved to Vienna, Austria, on September 1, 1965.
OPEC’s objective is to co-ordinate and unify petroleum policies among Member Countries, in order to secure fair and stable prices for petroleum producers; an efficient, economic and regular supply of petroleum to consuming nations; and a fair return on capital to those investing in the industry.
Who cares? OPEC determines the cost of oil. CNN put it this way:
Crude oil: Currently, this is the biggest portion of the consumer’s cost of gas. About 53 percent of what you pay for each gallon goes to crude oil suppliers. This is determined largely by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC. The amount of crude oil produced by OPEC determines the price of a barrel of oil.
After the disgusting display yesterday at the United Nations by Hugo Chavez, and even more so by the U.N. delegates who applauded the sickening anti-American rant, it’s worth noting exactly how much the United States is investing in the U.N. The latest details are from 2004.
So Chavez calls the US President the devil, owns CITGO and distributes oil to poor Americans. And the U.S. sets the stage.
The time has come for the US to end the funding of its own oppression at the U.N. and to boycott CITGO.
UPDATE:

In an astonishing (and ongoing) speech, he preached a message of racial tribalism by aligning support through a message that divides and conquers… he appealed to both Native Americans and African Americans as having been victimized by whites and thrown out of their land by Europeans in early American history.
Unbelievably, the “church” audience buys it hook, line and sinker and erupts into spontaneous applause.
Most of the major news outlets (CNN, MSNBC, etc) did not cover the “sermon” by Chavez, probably because the more coverage Chavez receives, the more most Americans will align his rhetoric with the Democratic talking points, thus damaging Democratic chances at the polls in November.
One of the major scandals in all this is that the a radical anti-American socialist dictator, Chavez, who oppresses religion in Venezuela and calls his own bishops “snakes” and calls Cuban communist dictator Fidel Castro his Christian brother, is welcomed into an American church after calling a true, openly worshipping Christian, Pres. Bush, ‘the devil”. Liberalism has not only corrupted politics and morality, but the Church as well.
UPDATE:
*Don’t pat the Democrats on the back just yet… it’s political. Where were the comments 24 hours ago after the U.N. speech by Chavez? Dems put their collective finger in air to see which way the public opinion polls were blowing.
**Rush Limbaugh is all over it. He’s playing an audio of Rangel a year ago saying almost the SAME THING CHAVEZ SAID.

You live in fear dude: Its amazing to me that those who own a computer and who answered CTV poll September 21, 2006 have placed their own fears of security well ahead of Aids and Poverty. Congratulations to mainstream media for setting our priorities in tune to the Conservative Governments agenda. You cant make money on sick people and the poor. But hey look at the bucks we can get by promoting fear. (god we have it too easy) I guess the poor will just have to wait while we spend more money on weapons to appease our paranoid fears. and the sick, well try a prayer…
What should be the UN General Assembly’s top priority this week?

The poor in this country are poor because they are lazy. It has nothing to do with USA Government. We should look into other sources of energy. And while we wait for something that works we should drill our own oil in our own backyard before China takes it all.

All this talk about the gas stations is great but if every American were to boycott the Citgo stations it would not make a dent in the money going to that dink. We need to remember that the Citgo Company makes more than gas. Wax, oil, and plastics are part of their product line, also. Golf balls, telephones, toys, machine lubricants, candles, pens and everything we Americans use every day could be made from Citgo’s petrol. We need to boycott more than their gas pumps. We need big American companies to get involved and make sure that parts for manufactured goods are from American friendly sources.

Lets assume for a moment that you really support ‘One nation under God - land of the free and the home of the brave.’ Under that premise, go ask your local judge if the ‘STATE’ they use in their official capacity is one of the Union States of the USA. Ask if he/she is a Judge found at Art. 6, Const. for the USA. When he/she refuses to answer you, send me an e-mail and I will give you the full info. Until you get an answer, we remain one nation under deceit - land of slavery to the One World Odor.
Yours in Liberty, Hank Albertson, Sovereign.
