Obama: “That’s My Story & I’m Sticking to It”

This ABC article highlights how Sen. Obama has circled his wagons around the “Ayers did despicable things when I was eight-years-old” mantra. Here’s what he said during his interview with ABC’s Charlie Gibson:

“I’ll repeat again what I’ve said many times. This is a guy who engaged in some despicable acts 40 years ago when I was eight years old. By the time I met him, 10 or 15 years ago, he was a college professor of education at the University of Illinois…And the notion that somehow he has been involved in my campaign, that he is an adviser of mine, that…I’ve ‘palled around with a terrorist’, all these statements are made simply to try to score cheap political points.”

I’ll simply repeat the questions I posted here:

  1. What specific projects did Sen. Obama work with Ayers on?
  2. What was the budget for each of these projects?
  3. What was the stated goal of these projects?

Sen. Obama could eliminate the Ayers issue if he just answered these simple questions. He doesn’t dare answer these questions because he’d give the McCain-Palin ticket ammunition to further attack his policies and his credibility. That isn’t the only laughable statement that he’s made. Check this statement out:

“Frankly, you know, Senator McCain ended up lurching from place to place on this issue,” he said. “And that, I think, is not the kind of leadership that we’re going to need if we’re going to be able to guide the economy out of this perilous position.”

Sen. Obama stayed as far away from that crisis as possible. He didn’t lurch “from place to place on this issue” because he avoided dealing with it at all costs. Instead, he did what all great leaders do: He made a bunch of speaches in a bunch of places while avoiding participating in serious negotiations. I’m confident that that isn’t a portrait in leadership.

I’d further state that his hands aren’t clean in this mess. His relationship with ACORN can’t be ignored by thoughtful, truth-seeking people. The Obama News Network isn’t interest in seeking the truth. They’ve avoided seeking the truth like the plague.

If they weren’t totally disinterested in seeking the truth, the Agenda Media wouldn’t let Sen. Obama get away with being this secretive about his relationship with a terrorist/indoctrinationalist.

Forget about the economy, the two wars we’re engaged in, impending Social Security benefits, Guantanamo, and energy crises.

We need to focus on Ayers and never forget Reverend Wright.

But as long as we’re on the subject, McCain’s associations continue to be increasingly interesting as well. We’ve known for a while that McCain has befriended a convicted felon who advised his supporters on how best to shoot federal officials, used the money of a convicted criminal to help buy a house, befriended a radical anti-Catholic televangelist, befriended a radical anti-American televangelist, was a long-time associate of Charles Keating, and hired for his campaign the publisher of a Confederate nostalgia magazine who has described Nelson Mandela as a “terrorist.” This week, we also learned about McCain serving on the board of the extremist U.S. Council for World Freedom, where he worked alongside Iran-Contra figures, and a eugenics researcher studying “white superiority.”

Does the maxim people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones mean anything to you?

If that was the case, then why did your campaign go after the American Issues Project by demanding that the Justice Department prosecute one Howard Simmons, whom your campaign claims to have donated money to the American Issues Project?

  4. Rocky Says:

When you lie like Simmons, you should expect to be called on it. That’s why.

Barry can try to distance himself from Ayers all he wants. The stink and the stain are there to stay.

McCain never demanded that donors of Planned Parenthood or MoveOn.Org be prosecuted.

Democrat? Yes, let me remember. Started to promote and protect slavery. Promoted the offshoot KKK (a prominent current senator was a proud organizer and membership recruiter for a while). Has worked tirelessly to keep poor folks poor and dependent upon government largess (fancy talk that means they’re giving your and my money to folks who think it’s their God-given right to buy things with my money that I can’t afford). Talk big about protecting Joe Sixpack from the big, bad corporations and their lobbyists, all the time taking more money than I’ll ever see from special interest lobbyists bent on beating us into socialist poverty. Killers and thieves pontificating about the “culture of corruption”. Promoting racial divide to continue their payoffs to the plantation managers, Jesse and Al. Candidates that talk sweet but can’t remember who longtime associates are because they are terrorists and that wouldn’t look too good to Joe Sixpack who’s still concerned about little things like security and stability.

Yeah, I remember that party. Being led by a real Chicken George. And you get a true Leninist in the deal to boot. All it will cost you is your freedom, a little bit at a time. And the poor will be hit hardest.
