No, actually, Liem, I agree on most topics with my pastor. If I didn't, I wouldn't attend the church I do. It's not that I'm closed-minded about it all, it's just that I've heard most of the milquetoast garbage preached in most churches today already and don't need that in my life for spiritual fulfillment.

BHO has surrounded himself since at least his early college days with all stripes of marxists and America-haters. That he has been a 20-year member in such a church, and continues to be, should come as no surprise at all to anyone with even a modicum of knowledge about Mr. O.

The fact that the child molestations in the Catholic Church were covered up by incompetent administrators who knowingly passed the problems along to others should have little, if any, relevancy in this discussion because the general church congregations were totally unaware of what was going on. Mr. O was fully aware of the hate and racism spewed by his pastor. Kinda makes a big difference, I'd say.

The Church, any church, is a human institution. Why are you all so surprised, then, that it has had, still has, and will probably continue to have some bad apples?

Liem... Catholics, including the Pope, defended the Catholic Church. My <a href="http://www.californiaconservative.org/2008/trying-not-to-be-white/" rel="nofollow"><em>latest post</em></a> answers your questions...

Oh Clark... (sigh)

If nobody "defended" the conduct of the Catholic Church, why was the sexual abuse going on for so long before it was actually revealed? Why was there so much cover-up and why weren't pastors arrested instead of being relocated so they could continue their sexual abuses of children? Using your logic, all Catholics and their families must leave the church and disassociate themselves immediately. Otherwise, they would be exactly like those pastors and those who defended them. But obviously, that's not the case.

Obama didn't defend Wright's statements. Here's from his speech: "<b>I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy.</b> For some, nagging questions remain. Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. <b>Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely - just as I'm sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed.</b>" Am I missing something? Or are all Catholics really child molesters?

Oh Liem... (sigh)

While no one defends the conduct of the Catholic Church, you, Obama, and other Democrats continue to defend Wright's racist pseudo-church.

We understand why Wright left his church and neighborhood to spend his retired days living off the collections of his poor black parishoners in a gate-guarded community surrounded by rich white folks. But it's hard to understand why Obama plans to attend a church filled with the other 7999 congregants who worshipped Wright's version of segregation, white hatred, and hatred for America. While most "normal Americans" of ALL races wouldn't want to be seen around any of them, Obama plans to bring his wife and children to hear more stories of "garlic noses" and "typical white people."

The fact that Obama and your ilk defends THAT is very telling...

Hey Clark,
Great article! And, 100% true! I can only wonder if his congregation members knew about this house "deal" before it being brought out into the open now. If I were a church member, I think I would have issues with that...unless, of course, they are told that this is "God's will", so to disagree would mean going against God's will. Thanks, Clark!

OMG, breaking news once again. This is the first time evar that a pastor has bought a luxurious house.

If Obama has been "poisoned" by Reverend Wright as you suggest, then that must mean that every Catholic in the world supports molesting little boys and covering up the molesting of little boys by giving people money to stay quiet. I'm going to go down the street and start accusing people. Will let you know how that turns out.
