Sen. Obama doesn’t dare explain why he thinks there’s common ground with Iran and Ahmadinejad.

Talk about dialogue with our enemies is the hallmark of liberal rhetoric. For those brought up and steeped in an education system focused on tolerance and conflict resolution, dialogue is the Holy Grail of human interaction. Finding common ground or consensus may not be attainable, but the mythical quest must go forward.

That mythical quest can even be seen in Ahmadinejad’s rhetoric:

“With the appearance of the promised saviour…and his companions such as Jesus Christ, tyranny will be soon be eradicated in the world.”

I can just see it now: the Mahdi, Jesus, Obama and Ahmadinejad sitting down for a public dialogue that will result in a consensual end to tyranny… a catastrophic success! snark
