That’s the title of Phil Brennan’s Newsmax article. It’s the perfect title for the article because Murtha and Time have gotten precious little right about the insurgents’ November 19 attack in Haditha. Let’s start with what they got right since that won’t take much time:
There was an insurgent attack in Haditha on November 19, 2005. The 3/1 Marines were involved. After that, you’ve got to do alot of searching for anything else that they got right. Let’s get to Phil Brennan’s article because, unlike Tim McGirk’s article, it’s got alot of important information.
On Nov. 19, 2005, during an insurgent ambush of the Marines of Kilo Company 3rd battalion 1st Marines, 15 Iraqi civilians and nine suspected insurgent ambushers were killed. One Marine was killed in an IED explosion and two others seriously wounded.
Thanks to the battalion intelligence officer, Lt. Jeff Dinsmore, who monitored the daylong engagement, the entire Marine chain of command were given the full story of the engagement that very night and it was agreed that no further action in connection with the civilian casualties was needed.
Phil Brennan has been one of the people who’s actually disseminated Article 32 testimony. His reporting hasn’t been perfect in terms of timeliness but it’s been solid. Here’s another important bit of information:
Typical of Murtha’s rantings were his comments on a May 28, 2006, ABC News broadcast. In response to George Stephanopolis’ comment that he claimed to have been briefed several times since Nov. 19 and said that that the evidence showed that the Marines had committed cold-blooded murder, Murtha said:
“Well there’s no question in my mind, what happened was an IED exploded. It killed one Marine. And then a taxi drives up. When the taxi comes up there’s four of five people in it. And they shoot … shoot those four or five people unarmed.
“And then they go on a rampage throughout the houses and kill people. One woman, as I understand it, in talking to officials in the Marine Corps, was kneeling over a child pleading for mercy and they shot her in cold blood. That’s the thing that’s so disturbing. And even more disturbing is the fact that we know that the Iraqis knew about it because they made payments to the Iraqis for accidental deaths or salacious deaths whatever you want to call it. And in addition to that, they had … there has to have been a cover-up of this thing.”
That interview won’t reflect kindly on Rep. Murtha. (continue reading post »)

Please indulge me for trotting out a reminder of Murtha’s disgusting tactics in smearing the Haditha Marines. Here’s a YouTube video that should be a wake-up call for people:
Here’s the transcript of the Matthews-Murtha interview:
Matthews: Let me ask you something, Mr. Murtha, to give us some details, to tell us what happened at Haditha.
Murtha: Well, I’ll tell you exactly what happened. One Marine was killed and the Marines just said “We’re gonna take care of this.” They don’t know who the enemy is, the presure was too much on them so they went into houses and they actually killed civilians. And you know that I…
Matthews: Was this Mi Lai? Was this…When you say cold blood, Congressman, alot of people think you’re basically saying that you’ve got some civilians sitting in a room or out in a field and they’re executed.
Murtha: That’s exactly what happened.
Matthews: Not because the Marines are scared…
Murtha: This was not an action. This was not…First they tried to say that it was an IED. There was no IED involved in this. (continue reading post »)

Barack Obama continues to rationalize his relationship with Jeremiah Wright. On The View yesterday he said: “Had the Reverend not retired… I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying there at the church…”
About twenty years ago, my wife and I were invited to hear a speech. The meeting’s organizers seemed friendly enough and we felt comfortable in their presence. But as the speaker began to describe the importance of racial purity I raised my hand, stood next to my dark-skinned Indian wife, and asked for clarification. When the speaker reiterated his point, my wife and I got up and left. We never returned to the meeting place, nor did we associate with those who attended. We had nothing in common with those people.
It’s hard to understand why Obama exposes his wife and daughters to such people, UNLESS we accept that he exploits his family and congregation to gain the black racial authenticity that his white mother could not deliver. While I defend his right to associate with anyone, it’s hard to consider someone as a legitimate candidate for ANY public office who willingly exposes his children to the hatred celebrated by Wright’s congregation. It also explains his wife’s racial volatility and unexplainable shame of being American.
But to be a legitimate Democrat Party candidate, Obama (and other race-baiters) must implicate Republicans for the Democrat Party’s own racial history, and forgive guilt-ridden whites who submit to, and collaborate with, the Democrat Party’s patriarchal endorsement of black racial authority.
Without Jeremiah Wright and his primitive congregation, Democrats would dismiss the Obamas as just another high achieving black family trying to be white.

Charges were dropped against LCpl. Stephen Tatum on Friday, leaving Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani, Sgt. Frank Wuterich and Cpl. Andrew Grayson as the remaining three Marines who haven’t had their cases resolved. Eventually, John Murtha will be exposed as a corrupt man who used the Haditha Marines in his attempt to become the House Majority Leader.
What We Know As Fact
We know that John Murtha accused the Haditha Marines of “killing innocent civilians in cold blood” before the investigation on Haditha had been completed.
We know that Rep. Murtha’s story has changed several times. When reporters initially asked him about his sourcing on May 18, 2006, Rep. Murtha said this:
“All the information I get, it comes from the commanders, it comes from people who know what they’re talking about.”
That didn’t last long. On May 30, 2006, he made this contradictory statement:
The Commandant of the Marine Corps was in my office just last week, so you know, I know there was a cover-up someplace.
He later offered another statement. This time, the spokesman for Marine Corps Commandant Michael Hagee had to correct Rep. Murtha:
He had told The Philadelphia Inquirer that Gen. Michael Hagee had given him the information on which he based his charge that Marines killed innocent civilians. But a spokesman for the Marine Corps said Hagee briefed Murtha on May 24 about Haditha.
Let’s highlight that conflict between rep. Murtha and the Marine Corps spokesman because it highlights extremely important information.
If Gen. Hagee did indeed brief Rep. Murtha on May 24, 2006, that means that Rep. Murtha couldn’t make these accusations based on irrefutable facts; at least he couldn’t do that on May 17, 2006.
That brings us to our first ‘counts’ against Rep. Murtha: Violating the Haditha Marines’ constitutional protections of (a) being presumed innocent until provent guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and (b) violating their due process rights. (continue reading post »)

It’s hard to imagine how Detroit’s liberal populace can charge hip-hop Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick for perjury. After all, doesn’t everyone lie about sex?
I’m not certain that Kilpatrick should be charged or convicted either. Those of us who live in cities like Detroit or Los Angeles accepted that kind of political double standard long ago.
Detroit clearly needs to loosen up a little – maybe create its own ethics commission. That’s what works for us.
In LA, our Ethics Commission makes it unnecessary for police to investigate messy corruption scandals or other embarrassing felonies. Our Commission would issue a warning and a fine to Kilpatrick faster than Hillary could tell Sandy Berger to take the archives out of his socks and join her campaign committee.
Equal Protection is one of the pillars of Democracy. After King John published the Magna Carta and Republicans passed the 14th Amendment, prosecutors have been prohibited from pursuing criminal complaints against one person that are ignored by others. Equal Protection demands that Mayor Kilpatrick be prosecuted like other Democrat office holders, regardless of race.
Despite the incontrovertible evidence of guilt, the US Senate (45 Democrats and five Republicans) acquitted Monica Lewinsky’s boyfriend of perjury. I’m not sure a black mayor should be charged or convicted for acts that Bill Clinton was acquitted of.
If prosecutors proceed and present overwhelming evidence against Kilpatrick, jurors have no choice but to acquit.

After posting these (1, 2) previous essays on the Democrat Party’s racist infamy, I received several more inquiries about their subatomic contributions toward civil rights. I hope to now answer those last questions.
While Democrats have changed their tactics, cosmetics, and geography since 1792, their perpetual expectation of black inferiority (and presumed racial superiority) remains the same today as it did in 1808 and 1908. A few quick examples:
In 1808, blacks who sought freedom were beaten and murdered by Democrats, while Republicans established and operated the Underground Railroad.
In 1908, free blacks who embraced the Republican Party risked the terror and murder wrought by the KKK.
Because Republicans forced Democrats to end lynching and Jim Crow, free blacks are still demonized today in the form of Oreos, epithets, and social alienation. While this may seem like harmless fun to good ol’ boy Democrats, the stigma associated with personal achievement still cripples blacks who choose failure, mediocrity, and poverty to retain their black authenticity.
Unlike the black, white, rich, poor, gay, Christian, secular and Jewish Republicans who view and accept themselves as Party equals, Barack Obama affiliates himself with Trinity not because of Jeremiah Wright’s spiritual coherence, but to secure the “black authenticity” he needs to get other Democrats to accept him. But while Obama’s political choices are comparatively harmless, the fact that millions of black students still fail in school, or that black adults vote Democrat, to avoid the appearance of “looking white,” is a derivative of the black inferiority that Democrats have continuously promoted since 1792.
Self-depreciating minstrel shows that entertained Democrats 100 years ago have been replaced by gangsta rappers today and condescended to as the free expression of urban genius.
This political cynicism isn’t confined to black Americans either. Gay men who support and celebrate the freedoms established by the Republican Party are vilified and alienated by Democrats as self-loathing gays. Republicans bristle at lewd celebrations not because they’re homophobic as Democrats accuse, but for the same reason that San Francisco residents would oppose public heterosexual expressions by Richard or Lynne Cheney.
Although most Americans still oppose gay marriage, the Democrat Party promotes it as a civil rights issue; not because they believe rectal intercourse and fisting is healthy for America, but because they need ANYTHING to build upon their counterfeit human rights record to win votes.
The Democrat Party’s institutionalized sympathizers (public education, universities, and the media) have successfully sold their uninterrupted political contempt for blacks as a racial issue 1) by blaming ALL whites for the exclusive and well-documented sins of the Democrat Party and 2) by bestowing a false sense of racial innocence to those who embrace the Democrat Party and their (anti-) civil rights record. This historical perversion is what leads people like Barack Obama to ridicule his grandmother as a typical white person instead of blaming her for being the committed Democrat she always was.
Both essays (1, 2) illustrate that, since their party’s inception, 1) Republicans have been consistently preoccupied with freedom and empowerment for all Americans equally, while Democrats have been preoccupied with black inferiority, subjugation, and exploitation. In light of their history, further niggling about the synthetic or accidental contributions that Democrats made toward civil rights is an unproductive exercise in futility unworthy of anyone’s time.

As much as Barack Obama’s pastor hates whitey, he apparently hates black people more.
Jeremiah Wright’s new 10,340 square foot four bedroom home is surrounded not by his loving black flock, but inside the gated community in Tinley Park, where only 1.9 percent of his neighbors are black.
Jeff Goldblatt (Fox News) also reports that Wright purchased the property for $345K in 2004 and sold it to his church (Trinity) in 2006 for $308K, with the proceeds going to a living trust shared with his wife. His church then secured a $1.6 million mortgage for the home with a $10 million credit line.
While tax expert Jack Siegel says there’s nothing technically wrong with the arrangement, it’s hard to imagine why the pastor disaster moved from the community that enriched him, unless he’s fully-retired from his career of exploiting gullible blacks to enjoy the rewards of white capitalism.

GREAT NEWS!!! All charges have been dropped against LCpl. Stephen Tatum. Let the rejoicing begin. Here’s what Newsmax is reporting:
Charges against Lance Corporal Stephen B. Tatum, 26, for his alleged involvement in the death of Iraqi civillians in Haditha, Iraq on Nov. 19, 2005, were dismissed today.
Charges of involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment, and aggravated assault were referred to general court marshal Oct. 19, 2007.
Marine Corps Spokesman Lt. Col. Sean Gibson said the charge were dismissed to “continue to pursue the truth-seeking process into the Haditha incident.”
There will be a further explanation forthcoming from military officials.
This is cause for great celebrating, especially since it brings us one step closer to forcing John Murtha to talk about why he made his accusations in the first place. All that’s left is for the Marines to drop all charges against Sgt. Frank Wuterich, Lt. Andrew Grayson and Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani.
This is another chapter in the indictment against corruption meister Rep. John Murtha. Frankly, it’s time for someone to file an ethics complaint against him. It’s time for him to be run out of the US House of Representatives. He accused the Haditha Marines of “killing innocent civilians in cold blood” on May 17, 2006. Since then, charges against LCpl. Justin Sharratt, LCpl. Stephen Tatum, Sgt. Sanick Del la Cruz, Capt. Randy Stone and Capt. Lucas McConnell have been dropped.
Here’s a timeline of the unravelling of Murtha’s story: (continue reading post »)

Anyone thinking that campaigns don’t do opposition research on each other within the same part hasn’t read this post on the Primary Colors blog:
Things got a little eerie in Erie today.
At Hillary Clinton’s campaign office in West Erie Plaza, a young man who told workers that he came to volunteer for the New York senator turned out to be a Barack Obama volunteer.
According to the Clinton staff in Erie, the young man in question was leery of signing the mandatory sign-in sheet that all volunteers fill out when they come into the office.
But after some time, he agreed, but his sketchy behavior, asking the volunteers if they were “cutting turf” (campaign lingo for literature drops), led them to first search for his name on Google, then Facebook and finally the Federal Election Commission Web site. It turns out, thanks to Google and Facebook, he is an Obama supporter. And the FEC lists him as receiving disbursements from the Obama for America campaign, as standard student campaign cash.
After one quick call to the Obama campaign office in Erie, guess who answered the phone?
“I was just there to check things out,” said Sam Glenzer, who oddly used his real name when signing in at the Clinton campaign office.
Glenzer said he had nothing nefarious in mind.

Earlier this morning, I posted something on the VFF event that was cancelled. This morning, Mark Podzimek, a Iraq war veteran, left a comment to that post. It’s a comment that’s worth its own post. It’s that stirring, forceful and appropriate. Here’s Mr. Podzimek’s comment:
I am glad to see that someone was covering this. Appearently the local news felt it was not important enough. I am a retired veteran, who has been to Iraq three seperate times for a total of twenty months.
The cancellation of the VFF event by the FLHS was one more in a string of Anti-War censorship activities. This is a painful example of where they would like this country to be heading.
I would like to take a group of these anti-war punks and pansies to Iraq, and show them what our military has done. We could leave out the IED’s and sniper fire we have to deal with. The trip would only be a week or so at the most, not the whole year away from the families we love so much. Just to show them the smiles on the faces of the free Iraqi’s, the schools and hospitals that we have reconstructed, stocked and opened.
Maybe one of these pansies would like to stand up and fight for their right to free speach they so dearly love.
I can only assume by not allowing the VFF into the FLHS, that all Anti-War propaganda, democratic bumper stickers and any other sign of free speach has been removed from the school.
Identify these punks and bring them out from under the rock where they live.
Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion in a free and democratic forum!
Comment by Mark Podzimek • 26Mar2008
First, let’s join in thanking Mr. Podzimek and his family for the sacrifices that they’ve surely made. Secondly, let’s thank him for tirelessly working to make Iraq habitable again. That certainly is a man-sized job. We’re fortunate to have a military built of the Mark Podzimeks of the world. In fact, we couldn’t be more fortunate.
Before we get too far afield, let’s also commend him for calling out the weenies who threw a wrench into the VFF event but didn’t have the cajones to identify themselves. As I said earlier, they’re nothing but a bunch of cowards.
It’s time to rally around our troops. They’ve made the world a far better place in which to live. Finally, I hope that these pansy-ass protesters realize that their right to free speech didn’t happen because someone started a peaceful protest but rather that it was won at gunpoint.
